Even basic electronics is such wide topic that it is difficult to address
the many interests, ranging from consumer electronics, electronics repair,
circuits, amateur radio, audio video, aviation electronics.
This electronics page is a switch station to some interesting resources
on general electronics for many interests.
Amateur radio, for example is a time honored hobby that has encouraged
amateurs to help develop
radio systems and private communications systems. It is still immensely
popular electronics hobby.. This melding of radio communication and electronics
now includes state of the art systems such as amateur satellites in space,
amateur television and digital electronic control. The majority of radio
amateurs, though knowledgeable in the fundamentals of electronics, focus
on communication itself. Others design and construct all manner of electronic
devices. Recently, amateur radio enthusiasts have been very creative in
merging radio communications with computer electronis. Amateurs are even
building and using orbiting satellites!
With the explosion of video, audio and cell phone technology, much of
electronics is hiding inside
tiny devices that seem like magic. Integrated circuits have transformed
consumer electronics. The
devices have never been so available or the technology so difficult to
fathom. I will further develop
